Why not just make more of the thing people actually watch. It's not like you can run out of material for R&M. It's sci-fi. You can do whatever the fuck you want. The possibilities are endless. If you really run out of material just start ripping off Asimov and Vonnegut.

Then again I feel like they rip off irrelevant pop culture more often than they do an episode that is actually about science fiction.
