If anything troons are the ones who defended Western animation getting sloppy writing quality, both Japan and the US outsource but one is commercially succesful and the other is a bunch of spoiled Californians whining that they're gonna lose their job of owning Korean slaves, the Disney Renaissance did show you can make good animation (hell even riggers can be good, I loved Total Drama and Kick Buttowski as a child), but nowadays I think a problem the Western industry has it that it worships itself as the epitome of animation, and any losses are just getting stabbed in the back by those who watch anime

So when are we going to reach another "renaissance". The only reason things changed in the 90s for tv and film animation was that everything went to shit and then a bunch of creative people got fed up.

Only reason the Cartoon Cartoons and Nicktoons existed was due to networks realizing they needed original programming.

Just become a comic reader, the cartoon side of the board is in deep denial with how bad things are. Sure it takes more effort on your part but the content is far more diverse. eiher that or just re watch your favorite cartoons.

Forget it. The damage is done. At this point the slow decay of Lucasfilm and Marvel is closing to a level where both will stop giving Disney enough money and will instead slowly leak profits from them.

Would rather Lucasfilm and Marvel were so badly damaged that Disney would consider them selling to someone else. But this will never happen sadly.
