I do want cream to have more screentime, but what's the obsession with her having guns? I feel best way to give her more screen time is the same way to do it for kit, tails and charmy. Do some form of a kid adventure or arc, really tails gets a bit more time in idw but at times he really doesn't do much either so him getting to have a more focus in a arc would be fun. Same with kit who is attached at the hip with surge

It would be very interesting if it was point out how Tails is basically an orphaned kid that had to learn to live on his own because the closest thing he has to a family member is the speedster hobo that crashes into his lab and doesn't have a normal life while Cream is a normal girl with a loving mother that sometimes gets involved in world ending affairs due to the people she hangs out with.

Tails is about looking to the present and being his own person, not clinging on to something he doesnt have anymore.

It fits Tails in the sense that he probably would not have an have an idea in how to interact with someone like that other than automatic polite manners, he's socially awkward and his only friends are world saving heroes older than him, and he at times is the one that has to be the mature one, he doesn't hang out with kids his age, doesn't go to school and doesn't have authority figures. He is already his own person, with his own life, and adult in a kids body by all means, already independent, Tails' problem is that if he compares himself to 99% people on the planet, he's already way ahead but he's trying to measure up to someone like Sonic, and that's his eternal struggle. The contrast with Cream is huge despite their close age, which does make them good foils to highlight said contrast. And the funny thing, is that Tails is similar to Shadow in some regards.

Ok this sounds interesting but think more that could be fun to use different perspectives like tails not realizing how much he likes family or stability since he in current IDW canon just lives alone at like 10 or 8 literally having a house by himself since sonic doesn't live there. Could see him maybe bonding with cream since it gives him something to do and human interaction that's a bit more constant since everyone else is usually doing their duties or working roaming around.
