Animator of the Reich
You now find yourself living under the vast steel wings of the 4th German Reich, a National Socialist state with a Fuhrer. After evaluating at the Reich labour bureau, you have been picked as a creator for the 4th Reich's film and animation industry. You have access to hundreds of accomplished artists and a large digital apparatus for media production. The Reich instructs you not to produce "degenerate" art or mock the Reich too much, but everything else is on the table. What do you make?

>A socialist state
>With a fuhrer
You don't know what socialism is, do you?
You actually think Hitler was a socialist, don't you?

Say, son, I've got a bridge to sell you. I call it "completed bridge." You can tell it's completed because it's right there in the name.

Base things on classic fairy tales and the like but make them subtly subversive.

I would do a short film about a German baseball team channeling Vril to steam roll a Polish team while looking as metal as possible, full on Breker tier proportions, while a potbellied hitler is the giant team's coach

They were socialist. Whenever you hear an academic say otherwise historically they were ussually part of soviet-socialist intelligencia. The truth is they were socialist and had socialist policies. They even killed half the industrialists they brought to side before nationalising their companies for the war effort while unions were made mandatory.

Id make a simple cartoon for children. Something like, say, a group of hedgehogs that learn that together, they're able to defeat the foxes and vultures that are trying to eat them.

So being sponsored by the state? I guess that lucky animator might make the greatest German cartoon ever made but it would be tainted by Hitler.

National socialism is third position

>>150008515
The truth is there no real "left v right" political paradigm in general. That is why third position or horseshoe was made to reconcile how left or right labeled goverment structures or policies overlap.

Fascists are capeble of art, in fact they are very proficent at it. But the problem with Fascist art is that it is largely aesthetic over substance. They make art dedicated to the creation of something such as a new culture being fostered by the state more than the culture in a present, unfiltered state. That is why so much neo-paganist work came out from Italy and Germany from that time period despite it being virtually absent in the conscious of populace culture as both states wanted to create a new state religion on the foundation of Paganism as some mantle of the ancestors they were destined to inherit when in reality it was almost completely fictitious.

Aesthetic is substance

I am not so sure about that. Something can be good aesthetically and match a theme but by itself it is fairly shallow.

Nta but would the opposite be better?
Reminds me of the rigged animation we see today. Its not art, its a commercial cultural product

>>150008867
No I wouldn't, but honestly I think good art should be balanced between the two extremes. No one likes art that borders on being kitsch, but no one really likes "modern art" either.

We do in fact have reference for Nazi animation as to what the "next fascist cartoon" would look like. It would've been very fucking boring.
Hans Fischerkoesen was one of the few animators working in wartime and he was stretched to his very limit because few people, if any, actually watched his cartoons. While some of his cartoons tried to incorporate the Fuhrer's ideology, the general consensus was outside of Der Schneemann (which might've actually been about waiting for the Third Reich to end, since it's about a snowman who really wants to see springtime and melts in front of a bunny) the cartoons were of painfully milquetoast quality, held up by its relatively impressive yet primitive visuals, and the only reason cartoon buffs even watch them is for the morbid novelty that this was what people were producing under the eye of the Nazis. Very likely, the next Fourth Reich cartoon would be stuff you've already seen from the likes of Cocomelon just with vague gestures at hating "the undesirables"... whatever that would be.
