This and the "Nowhere but up" episode feel like the writers just genuinely said fuck it. And it's amazing, easily two of the best episodes in the series.

The one where Ed runs a scam and it becomes increasingly apparent through the episode that it's basically a ritual to summon an actual demon and ends with a flock of crows descending upon them is also pretty fucking out there.

>That episode of Rocko's Modern Life where they're on a cruise ship with Heifer's grandad that takes them to the Bermuda Triangle, and it has some genuine moments of their characters reflecting on their own mortality before they actually enter the triangle which causes a time warp and makes the characters swap ages.

not the full episode, but the ending of the Beauty Peagent episode of Billy & Mandy was maybe the zaniest the show has ever been, and that's a high standard

The Mad Mod and Control Freak episodes should be taught in animation schools as examples of how to write wacky episodes.
