I'm a sucker for season 1 Gumball, it just turned into a different show after this. No longer had the same charm.

Idk if I'd say the other seasons weren't charming but season 1 definitely had a unique vibe to it.

Maybe it was harder and more expensive to animate. Season 1 did look the best.

to be honest i'd say early-mid season 2 is tied with it. That was where the revamped art style looked the best.
That being said there are some things about season 1's world that I don't understand why they got rid of. The 2D clouds during the day and the anaglyph cartoon stars at night were cool. I remember early season 2 was trying to do a thing where they would blend the 2d clouds in with the real life ones (pic related) but that got dropped pretty fast.

I am still not buying that meme all these years later for how fundamentally flawed and retarded it is as if they can't just switch to the circle eyes when they wanna make a funny expression. Something they already were doing in season 2.
