I liked it when it came out

Needed more Madison episodes.

The joke where Cheddarman sells bootleg movies at a flea market has lived rent-free in my head since the day that episode aired, not just because it's a funny enough punchline as it is:

But also it's only gotten funnier after considering that if he was just trying to make a quick buck like he usually is, wouldn't he just burn the actual movie to a disc and print out the actual cover art on a cheap inkjet printer? Like literally everyone who sells bootleg movies does? Instead he goes through the effort to remake the entire movie from scratch, by himself, probably also does his own editing, then makes custom cover art replacing all the actors with himself, so he's not even tricking his customers, they know fully well what they're buying, he puts so much work into these bootleg movies that clearly it's just something he does for fun, that is a guy who saw Be Kind Rewind and said "that sounds awesome, I could do that" and that's the kind of person I could see myself getting along with, I fucking love Cheddarman.

No joke, if I could have any fictional item in real life and it couldn't be a superpower item so no Omnitrix or anything like that, it has to be something that could theoretically exist in real life, and a copy of The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs is already taken, I'd want Cheddarman's movie collection

It had a concept that I think could have been good but the songs just weren't catchy enough to really make the show stand out. I appreciate them trying different animation styles for each song but when the song isn't good it doesn't matter. Didn't help the cast of characters were extremely one note and had nothing memorable about them. It says a lot when the only thing brought from the show is how much pedophiles want to fuck the blonde girl.

I wanted to like it because the style was interesting and it had some cute girls in it, but it bored me to death. Between the cheap animation, mediocre writing, uninteresting stories, weak characters and terrible pacing interrupted by music at random (no, I don't have a problem with musicals, I have a problem with how this specific show did it), it was unwatchable to me. I don't think I finished a single episode or if I did, I paid too little attention to remember. Looking back at it, it had a some good tunes, but if I wanted to listen to music, I'd just listen to music.

TL;DR: cute designs and neat music wasted on an awfully boring and incompetent show.

I loved it specifically for the music and music alone as a kid. My Mentor was probably one of the first songs I ever loved that was devoid of lyrics. As an adult I appreciate it's desire to speak to kids who we're more artistically driven

I fucking loved the music, my favorites being Rich Shade of Blue and Banana Zoo.
I also really liked how it spoke to kids who were creatively inclined.

It's obvious that they blew their budget on Andre, with how little they had left over for animation and writing, and that's all the show was: a vehicle for his songs. They didn't even care about integrating the stories with the music, they randomly interrupted the show with random music videos on topics ever so barely connected to the plot if at all. And they didn't even have the budget to properly animate the videos. So the show was visually weak and narratively weak all of the time. I'm not denying there was talent involved, the designs, voice acting and the music were all good. That's not enough for a good show.

If all they cared about was the music, they should have just made a series of animated music videos right off the bat instead of an animated show. Then they would have the money to at least have good animation to go with the music.

I don't hate the show, I hate how they wasted the potential and made all the cute girls and nice music obscure as fuck.

This was absolutely abysmal when I was younger. Hideous designs, the animation pissed me off, and the music videos were so dreadful that I turned off the television and did something else. There was nothing else on at the time.

No idea. I'm surprised whoever is doing it isn't range banned yet. All the field have the same formatting and it's been happening for months. Possibly a year now.
