What are your hopes, theories, and expectations for Lanterns? Thoughts so far on Guy Gardner from Superman? The way constructs are done at least look pretty good. How might they juggle Hal, John, Guy, or maybe even Jess in the DCU? Might we see other colors in the spectrum?

My hope is they don't toss Hal to the side. I'm fine with John being the main lantern for the DCU, but that doesn't mean Hal needs to be dead or a villain. I also hope Damon Lindelof is just kept in check by someone too. I've always disliked his style of writing.

My theory is that its going to be based on the STAS episode Unity. My expectation is that it is going to suck ass.

Does the upcoming My Adventures With Green Lantern show imply WB is fishing for public interest for Jess in the DCU?

TV show budgets are getting bigger and it's not necessarily a bad thing to have a Hal plot on Earth. Adams and Morrison started their runs on Earth and later delved deeper into space stuff. So long as its not like the movie we should be good.

Sorry to be the bearer of weird news, but MAWS was originally going to be canned when Gunn and Safran rebooted the DCU. The plan was for all future DC adaptations (games, cartoons, TV, etc) to be under the DCU umbrella similar to the MCU.

However, MAWS did well enough to net another season and helped keep interest in Superman alive. Since it wasn't a flop and contributed positively to Gunn's Superman, the MAWS continuity will stay as long as it continues to do well.

There's three independent movies coming out in the next three weeks that I have to make time for to try and catch - one is only playing one fucking theater and only playing once per day so it's going to be a real chore to try to catch it.
None of these are cape shit, none of these are cartoons, all are dramas, although one is a dark comedy - but you and most of y'all here won't bother to see most of these, even on pirate rips, yet you will be here the next three weeks bitching about cape shit and cartoons and asking for something else.

The next two months, with the exception of some horror and some movies that get dumped by studios because they have to contractually release them in theaters, will mostly be independent movies. We won't get a non-horror studio film until late October with Tron, which is a video game movie in any event so you should hate it as well.
