I only watch cartoons inspired by anime
and I admit it, either anime-inspired or capeshit shows.
Im sure that many people here thinks the same and don't blame them because cartoons are plagued by beanmouth-shit.

I do not watch anime or anime-inspired shows because live action has far better writing and better presentation overall, and if you are not going to go all the way with embracing stylistic toonyness there is no point in making something animated in the first place

Reject weebshit, embrace cartooning

I hate beanmouth too but I wanna see more modern toons that are similar Ren & Stimpy, Rocko, or Ed Edd & Eddy. I only watch modern cartoony kino like The Day the Earth Blew Up and Paul Rudish Mickey stuff.

Fakime is better than beanmouth but it’s the wacky cartoons that are proud to be cartoons that are truly scarce these days.

I like toony cartoons but piss off, live action is literally carried by cgi animation 80% of the time, even in non action movies.

Anime is just one part of the influences on AtLA and the should would be shit if it was the ONLY influence on it, I'm tired of this being overlooked

I'm the opposite, I only watch cartoons that are not like anime, since I can just go watch anime if I want anime.

At what point does a show become 'anime' inspired and not just one without a cartoony artstyle?

>cartoons SUCK, anime ROCKS, watch anime instead
>Okay
>years later every cartoon has anime inspiration, anime aesthetics, anime references, taking shit from shounen or magical girls(badly), etc
>WTF WHY ARE DISGUSTING WESTOIDS COPYING MY SACRED ANIME
>anyways CARTOONS SUCK, ANIME RULES, WATCH ANIME INSTEAD
There is no future

That's true for literally every show ever made you retard. No shit shows have more influences rather than just 1.

understandable.

pure retardation. the irony is that people were saying japanimation looks weird and too artificial 30-40 years ago. you got used to it too.

Why would you watch live action when books have better writing?

the actual problem is you guys unironically believe you are the victims while in reality anime was the one that has been attacked constantly in an almost unapologetically racist way.
i think it's so deeply rooted in the us since even liberals are like that when it comes to japan. almost completely blind.

indeed, im a studio mir sucker. they are one of the few "animesque" studios that does it right

in some shows the "anime element" seems quite obvious like studio mir shows or the early 2000s shows like ATLA, teen titans, tottally spies.
In the other hand the influence seems more subtle, at the end its boiled down to having human proportions in char designs, a cohesive storyline through the show and being somewhat more "adult" than the average cartoon (even though most of this shows are not more mature than a shonen most of the time), also if the show have some easter eggs or anime reference it adds some points
