i just think it's weird that some people here have convinced themselves that targeting younger male audiences instead of older parents means they're going to make more conservative media than the 'girl in a cute outfit lands a man' they've been pushing on girls all along. they're not going to start making confederate propaganda; at most it will lead to a switcheroo where the hot guy is the pov character of whatever story.

I feel like that would be even worse. Stuff sucks because it's written by people who's been in education their whole life and have never faced any kind of adversity beyond people misgendering them or bullying them at school for liking anime. Hiring even younger would be even worse unless they find someone who's lived a rough life from a young age who actually has some interesting tales to write about. 30 plus men used to have lived interesting lives with war, rough jobs, life on the street etc which trickled into their stories and were entertaining for kids despite being written by "boomers" because that kind of stuff has universal appeal.

When you keep in mind the fact that the kid fights a literal giant, yeah, this would actually be a pretty scary situation to find yourself in.

I didn't really watch shows like Wander, Gravity Falls, The Mickey Mouse cartoons cause they pandered to me. I watched them cause they looked interesting. There's tons of other media outside of Disney that can pander to me, and I highly doubt doing that will immediateky fix them.

Why does Disney keep making pseudo-anime cartoons, when they have the rights of Kingdom Hearts and people actually want an anime to be made of that?
