Each of the Earth Lanterns needs to be given some kind of special function so they are not just a shitload of just plain ol 2814 lanterns.

Hal and John need to be the standard 2814 sector lanterns.

Kyle should be the special Earth lantern assigned to specifically handling Earth shit since it seems to have a lot more home grown issues than any other world in the universe.

Guy needs to go hang with the Corpse again and be a part of GL special forces they send out to insane super dangerous shit that only the most reckless and suicidal corpsmen go handle. It has a ridiculously high fatality rate.

Simon needs to not exist, he was a gimmick, and not a good one.
Jo's origin does not really make sense with current canon, she might as well not even be a human or a 2814 lantern. Just make her something that looks like a human.
Jess was more fun as the Sinestro 2814. But she still hangs with the GLs because they are like that

Fuck I love that film. Shit they do has weight to it. Not easy to show with cosmic level powers. You can see here how the collateral damage even when they miss shows how much power is behind their attacks. Not many animated films were very good at that kind of thing in the prior days, mostly due to technical limitations and economic constraints.

The live action movie being inferior to this, and in every other way, is such a pity and an embarrassment to DC, when they had it laid out so well beforehand. Hal was a natural in this film to the point he could almost be accused of being a Mary Sue, but he's just a true hero, fearless, and a skilled test pilot, etc.

He's thrown in the deep end, quickly learns to swim, (so the story doesn't even have to slow down for him), and he eventually comes out on top, showing the character and true power of Hal Jordan.
