Doomsday/Secret Wars leaks
https://thecosmiccircus.com/alex-perez-august-qa-part-1-avengers-doomsday/

>The main character of Avengers: Doomsday will be Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, similar to how Josh Brolin’s Thanos was the main character of Avengers: Infinity War.

>Doom sees the ongoing incursions as a danger to the Multiverse and intends to stop them using a young Franklin Richards. He views himself as the hero of this story and will do whatever it takes to remain in power.

>Captain America's Avengers, the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and Team Loki are all there. Doom will also have a team, though he doesn’t really need anyone.

>The film will feature Earth-616, Earth-828, and a version of the Fox X-Men’s Earth. Another Earth completely decimated by an incursion will be shown to illustrate the scale of the threat to the heroes.

>Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell are confirmed to appear, with Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter forced out of retirement for an "end of the world" scenario.

>Steve creating a branch timeline to be with Peggy was the source of the incursions and Doom is now after him for revenge.

>Other characters from Earth-616 include Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Clea, Monica Rambeau, Hulk, She-Hulk, Kate Bishop, Ms. Marvel, Stature, Love Thordottir, Wasp, Okoye, Deadpool and Wolverine.

>The heroes who have been the faces of Phases 4, 5, and 6 (primarily in movies) will have a bigger focus and will "try to" have equal screen time and appearances.

>Thor's role will be to "join the fray to stop the incursion from destroying this universe".

>Monica Rambeau will have a larger role story-wise compared to Thor, though Thor is expected to appear more frequently.

>The X-Men's costumes will be a blend between Astonishing X-Men and X-Men '97. More X-Men characters are expected beyond the initial seven announced, as the X-Mansion is full of fun mutant cameos.

>Doctor Strange will have a major role in fixing an incursion "by any means necessary". He is working with Doctor Doom. The flow of time is different in the Dark Dimension, so in the 4 years he’s been away with Clea he’s spent decades studying dark magic. Clea is loyal to Doom and betrays Strange when the push comes to shove.

>A neat place" from What If...? will be adapted into live-action.

>Even with Loki’s intervention, the Multiverse is still on the brink of collapse, with only a handful of viable Earths remaining.

>A major reset is expected in Avengers: Secret Wars, the new Earth-616 will combine elements from various variant Earths (such as 828 and 1610) to form the Earth-616 it was "originally" meant to be. Previously, the Earth seen in MCU films and shows was a version of Earth-616 cultivated by He Who Remains, which removed many heroes (like the Fantastic Four, Magneto, Charles Xavier) from the "original" timeline. This was referred to as Earth Prime. The reset will establish an Earth that was always filled with the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four, with the global perception being that this has always been the case.

>Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) will NOT be recast and will stay with her same actress.

>Previously dead heroes and villains will be brought back, as the reset will alter certain known MCU events. Everything is fair game. Galactus and Silver Surfer for example will be rebooted.

Wow, it's going to be a dumpster fire. They're basically going to try to do another Infinity War/Endgame but unlike last time which was an original story with a villain, plot, and heroes that had been built up over like 8 years to universal praise it's going to be a lukewarm retread with a villain, plot, and heroes that were all introduced five seconds ago to universal panning after nearly a decade of meandering and gradually letting the hype die off.

A LOT of Marvel's struggles can be pinned down to Disney+. The mandate to produce content meant spreading the studio in a scale not seen before, leaving less and less space for quality control due to the insane amount of work they had to go through. Both the shows and films suffered for that.

It's a dumb model because at that point you can just wait a couple weeks and you'll be able to watch it at home. I can usually find a movie online about two weeks after it debuts in theaters in good quality.

I remember when it was closer to like a year from the time a movie was in theaters to when you could get it on home video. It made you want to go see it in theaters because you knew you weren't going to get a chance to see it again for awhile. And then when it did come out it felt like more of an event itself.

Part of the problem has more to do with the streaming wars and studios wanting to do their own streamer and fucking shit up for themselves in the process. They and COVID trained the audiences to sit out.

Superhero Fatigue is a fake reason pushed by studio shills pretending to be "angry fans" because it's trying to deflect the blame away from the people responsible. "Oh it's not because Feige fucked up royally, it's because the audience are tired of superheroes!" Complete Bullshit

MCU is having problems because they released a lot of shit and had too many half-assed results without clear planning. DC had a shitload of problems leftover from pre-Zaslav where WB signed off on a bunch of projects without thinking of costs, and then the problem with brand damage from bad films during the 2010s and 2020s leading up to Superman. It's like instead of stopping after Batman and Robin, WB decided to sign off on five more Batman and Robins before they decided to reboot.

Yeah. It must be bad because my local theater just slashed their prices in half (though it's still expensive.) but if they're willing to do that it must be getting rough.

I just checked the price for 2 tickets to see Superman and it was literally $50. Too rich for my blood, especially since I know it's going to be a disappointing experience made by people who are actively hostile to my existence. Just last Summer at this time, though? Those tickets were $45 each. Every time I brought my wife out to the movies we were spending $100 ($90 for tickets plus "service fee") and that was just to see the movie. That's not even counting the ride there, ride back, her wanting to get snacks and/or a drink. It easily turns into a $200 event.

Even now we would probably be spending over $100 unless we snuck in our own snacks and drinks (shouldn't HAVE to do that) and even then at that price point I'm intrinsically aware of the running total regardless.
