Okay, 26 episode season 4
>Halfway point, Megatron finds a shuttle in the Nemesis that he can use to make an escape from Earth
>But the Ark still has its shuttle that was used at the end of Beast Wars
>Transwarp technology didn't exist on old Transformer ships (Optimus getting one from the Nemesis made no sense, 80s-00s Megatron even said he had heard it was being developed), but the resources for it are on other planets
>Optimus pursues Megatron's ship with a makeshift crew while Tigerhawk and some other Maximals are left on Earth to deal with Tarantulas
Earth: Tigerhawk, Cheetor, Silverbolt, Blackarachnia, Tarantulas, Ram Charge, stasis pod
Space: Optimus, Rattrap, Rhinox, Megatron, Waspinator, Terrosaur, Dinobot
On one plant, Megatron comes across a stranded Decepticon from 4 million years ago, while the pursuing Optimus finds there's also an Autobot on the planet, and they're added to their respective crews. Both are skeptical of the "new" Optimus and Megatron and tower over the other Maximals and Predacons and stubbornly refuse to cooperate (think of them as being the BIG toys). They don't even know about humans. Rhinox and Dinobot have their respective goodbyes, and somewhere early in the space episodes, Rattrap gets a space upgrade. That with TM Waspinator and TM Terrosaur (both capable of space flight and long distance) along with Optimal Optimus being space-ready, Rhinox feels obsolete, so there's some more motivation and toys.
At this point, the new toys are Tarantulas, Ram Charge, stasis pod, Rattrap, Autobot, and Decepticon, but I think 26 episodes might need more.
