Why don't we just make our own cartoons?
People bitch and complain about the industry. So why not create something you think is better and crowdfund it?

unironically how does one go about pitching an idea for a comic or book to a company?

I don't want to make a cartoon. Most people in the field have been mean to me in one way or another

You have to know people. Through an agent, friends, sucking dick, impressing someone with your art online. Anything. You just have to know someone.

I don't believe in ritualistic identity death to adopt a group identity like Queer or Jokey Softboy. And I'm a Catholic.

My brain criticizes me all the time - I don't accept criticism from people who can't accurately understand me and don't want to help me because they wish my identity was dead. I'm a very critical person so you're already failing.

Congrats on demonstrating you're a queer (and an illiterate one at that who projects intense struggle to write and read).

I was just going to email bombard industry folk about lgbtq, thanks for showing the validity of policing the stupid perverts of the world who just want to waste people’s energy!

>So why not create something you think is better
Recently, I was thinking about how political grift "creative" media literally always fails, with 100% certainty, and my conclusion is that it's because when your head is wedged too far up your own ass, you can't appeal to people in any way - basically, you're far too "insular" to truly "create" anything, caring only about themselves especially when it's at the expense of other people. And I think when you look at that mindset in a more fundamental, wider lens, that explains why /co/fags don't seem to actually create their own comics and shit in order to be the change they want to be, i.e. it's because people here are so absurdly selfish that they would never willingly "create" something, because that would imply that they're trying to make something that people who are not themselves would actually like.

Plenty of industry artists came straight from /co/. Also talented independent cartoonists like Merrivius. There's always some kind of imaginary disqualifier to prevent giving /co/ the credit for development.

For myself my plan was to sell my own artistic brand to leave poverty, which requires “narcissism” to make it more appealing. This ran into trouble with people who hate strong individual identity, but that is my cross to bear to make a better world for future generations.

Who get all the creative validation they need shitposting and jerking off over it that require nothing close to constructive storytelling, creation or IP management.

Its funny that queers stop posting things like this when I email truth bombs about their lifestyle.

They literally have some kind of Queer Signal telling each other to stop being faggots so I stop laying out every detail of their sick brains LMAO

I mean, it's a large ordeal. You would need to first create the pitch, which whatever, is not the hardest part. Then you have to sell it. Do you have an existing fanbase? Tough shit. You start from ground zero, which means the likelihood of it being even known is very low. I mean, there are people with established fanbases and connections to funnel to support the project and it goes nowhere. So how do you gain attention without spending years building up fanbase. You need an actual thing. A pilot, a trailer. And it needs to look polished. That basically means starting the project and hoping that it will be received at all else you just wasted time. I think of the Judas Furry film. It had the trailer locked and ready and pushed it out and luckily it worked. But it doesn't work for all. You could try and make a shiny thing and many do, but it falls flat to audiences. At that point, you might as well do it just for pure passion. Think the Spanish man who was making a church out of salvage or the family who is dedicated to carving out a mountain to look like Sitting Bull. You have to accept that you want to do it for it's sake and thus must take the long path.
