I have only watched up to episode 2 so far, focus keeps shifting from one sibling to the other per episode so I'm guessing the "extra one" will be next.

The animation's a little off but it's a beautiful show, quite funny as well, the first episode really hooked me

i like the idea that shira's passing on the trauma of avi abandoning her that one time. shira still seems generally closer to avi than yoshi. the neglect is probably why he keeps around that shitty friend. they also pulled away from revealing what baby did to shira but i'm sure it was perfectly evil.

Rewatching the show just because I thought it would be interesting to catch things I missed on first watch and in the episode Wolves I noticed something weird. I'm not sure if it's a mistake or some last minute change but the black mom mentions her son having bono eyes but based on the designs of the kids it's pretty obvious that the black girl was intended to be the daughter not kid wearing sunglasses. The black girl also has obvious braces which feels like it was meant to be payoff something that one of the parents would've brought up like the bono eyes and lack of sun-screen but it's not mentioned, I wonder if originally there was a line about it and it was cut then they switched the lines for some reason probably thinking only autists like me would notice or even care.

I really like the way the narrative works with the constant shifting, the not-reveal in episode 4 that Naomi had died was quite understatedly sad

I'm also surprised by how funny the show is, the dialogue is quite sharp
