the dceu actually already showed us three and the existence of many more with Barry's chrono bowl nonsense. they essentially did an "All Live Action DC Media" is canon moment.

And the DCEU is now probably a world where Clooney is batgod, Henry is a movie star in the successful Highlander franchise, WW was Linda Carter or some such.

Plus which there's absolutely no reason for them to travel to a dead universe that will never return or never exist again.

the old DCEU is gone. using the multiverse to attach it to the DCU would be stitching the former's corpse to the latter and dragging it around while it rots away.
the reason these projects could be brought over to the DCU in the first place is because they're very light on continuity wrt the DCEU. having peacemaker hop universes permanently is unnecessary. even worse, it's retarded.

I just hope it doesn't linger too long on "Peacemaker using the alt universe as an escapist fantasy" angle, esp as well, it's pretty 50/50 likely that they're going to reveal "oh, the new universe is full of racists" - if they're going to reveal that the escapist fantasy is super evil, then I just hope they don't take too long to actually reveal it, since people are already guessing it from the lack of black people lol.

Peacemaker is such a weird show in its placement of universe. The DCEU and DCU aspect is the obvious, but even in the DCEU context alone it spawned-off from The Suicide Squad. The Suicide Squad that is technically a sequel to Suicide Squad, yet really was a sort of soft reboot.

That assumes people are even going to watch Peacemaker S2 or have even seen S1. Better to just do a clean break. That they even carried over Peacemaker is just bizarre to me. It legitimately just seems like it was due to having Gunn's wife in it.
