To be completely fair, it was a good tone setter. I also like how Starscream bragged about killing him even though he was injured and couldn't fight back.

It was a good tone setter, but with how cool his model was, how perfect his casting was, or how important of a character he was in apocrypha you'd expect them to at least give us a little bit more time to learn more about him and see him interact with the world especially with how immediately likeable he is.

It just doesn't feel like we got the time to sink in and understand his importance, since for all we knew he could have been Prime's number 2 on Earth since they were already pulling from SG with the Terrorcon reanimation.

Breakdown and Dreadwing were only killed off due to behind the scenes antics. That being said, I cheered when Megatron shot Bumblebee, he has too much plot armor.

I'm still mad that Optimus blew up the Omega Lock and worse yet, fled the scene when he could have easily taken the disoriented Decepticons with his blade in the wreckage. Hell, he should have gone for it the second Megatron said the children would not be returning to Earth.

And they somehow didn't factor in having some sort of contingency plan for their base being discovered. Production hell really makes a bitch of proper story telling doesn't it?
