It's not even that good I just love the idea of an unhinged fucking insane show where everyone is a psychopath airing in between Chowder and Ben 10 reruns

Because after nearly a decade of anons convincing themselves that Gen Z are all broccoli-haired teenagers who grew up exclusively on Tiktok and Fortnite, they feel that those in the older cohort of Gen Z(i.e. the ones who were born in the mid/late 90s and thus grew up with 2000s pop culture) are stealing "their" nostalgia

Also ones born in the early 00s. They were 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 in the mid to late 2000s. 2004 borns and after is when they start leaning a bit more 2010s. It's inconceivable to certain people that someone born in 2001 were having their peak childhoods watching Ed Edd n Eddy or still playing Gamecube/PS2 games.

As someone born in 1999, I admit to growing up with most of these things but I really don’t dress like that.

For the Millennials that complain, honestly the internet spreading everywhere in the early 2010s broke their capability to comprehend generational cultural movements in the same way later Millennials and Gen X did.
Beforehand most of us older zoomers while consuming the same content were in our own social sphere that outside of being squeakers in online video games didn't overlap.
Then suddenly everyone goes online in the same handful of spaces and over the next few years they come face to face with a Gen Z that is almost completely culturally foreign to them while people our ages just kinda blended in.

I was born in late 2003 and I don't make the cut honestly. My memories of the 2000s are there but it's a little prick on my conscious.

"Gen Z Culture" or whatever bullshit you want to call it didn't even arrive until 2017 or 2018 ish imo when those guys were well out of high school. There are guys I know born in the late 90s that have nothing to do with the whole thing.

I was one of those squeakers at that time but I can confirm this. 2017 hit me like a nuclear bomb and I just adapted to what was around me. Could've been the classmates I had but pretty it was diving head first into Lil Pump and "Surreal memes". Emplemon failed to hold up the gate. Mashup memes like You Reposted In The Wrong Neighbourhood broke into the normies. I knew some jocks were calling themselves memelords. It was a strange fucking time.

Could be a location thing on my end as well. In Australia I can't remember anyone having the Broccoli cut at either high school I went to but the tranny stuff, rap slop and hood talk (a more mild version) still carried other. The guys I see getting that cut are now the ones a couple of years younger than I am. It felt like a flashbang on my end but I wasn't on Instagram, TikTok didn't come around until a year later so who the fuck knows. I found no cap, bussin, for real and even the cut itself from 4chan circa 2018 or 2019. Shit's strange.

Add Laura Haruna and Buster Bunny and you got some awesome rage bait. Works like a charm too, most people don't even see it and only a small handful freak out.

CBS tried to make a Gen X vs Millennials show in 2016 called "The Great Indoors" hoping it could replace The Big Bang Theory or 2 Broke Girls, and it was so panned that it got cancelled after one season. I think the world is ready for something like it nowadays.
