I think Reed imprinted himself on each universe that he’d spin out from Franklin’s powers. To be fair though, Hickman didn’t take a lot of time to explain the mechanics of that particular aspect of how the multiverse was remade. Much more vibes than formulas and charts.

While I can't say that this doesn't make sense I feel like it would have been something else if Kang wasn't being taken off the ledger. Also man did the Doom shit tank this book. Some sites had this out of the top75. The main Avengers title out of the top 75.

I wonder how much of it was simply issues with Kang (Majors) and Miracle Man (Gaiman).

McKay's X Men and Moon Knight are enjoyable but he can't salvage this dead weight corporate editorial slop

It sucks. I think the story's fine but the cast (which I assume was forced on MacKay) is hot garbage and it's been sucked too much into crossover hell.
Anonymous No.150088529 >>150090589
>>150083821
It's kind of a shame that MacKay's stuff on bigger books is basically just at the mercy of outside forces and crossover nonsense. He's trying his best but you can't really do anything when editorial is forcing you into crossovers, forcing terrible characters on you and forcing you to tie everything into the main plot of a series of fucking movies that are going nowhere because of a retarded actor taking the main villain off of the table and all the movies underperforming so they're just speedrunning everything to get to the X-Men instead.

It reads like it's meant for people who haven't been following the book. Standing around talking, recapping, and espousing exposition. And while it's nice not to see heroes jumping into a fistfight all the time, the complete lack of "what the fuck, Reed" makes it feel really detached.
Anonymous No.150089739

It's definitely set up

I guess it's a combination of "every issue is someone's first" and "we've tied into so many fucking events, if someone started this book because of Blood Hunt or OWUD they are going to be fucking lost when we start describing Myrddin and the Tribulation Events"

>but the cast is hot garbage
It's funny that this book peaked during a crossover (Blood Hunt) because instead of the cast we (and likely McKay) were stuck with we had a team that was leagues better.
If you told me this was the team he wanted to make, I'd believe you.

Look with Kang getting fucked over completely in and by the MCU, I'll take Mckay getting to use him here since I liked the team up Kang had with Black Cat.

He inherited a bad position, but he always wanted to help people. He simply didn't realize the contradiction between industrial-military complex and being a superhero until directly confronted with it. And once he did, he reworked the goals of Stark Industries to focus entirely on technology that helps people instead of bringing death, even rebranding to Stark International to emphasis it works for the world.
