Obviously. South Park's 'impact' was news articles about the impact, it had a Scientology spat and lost their star castmember, and then it tried to do a Muhammad but got told no so they pussied out and then they were on the backfoot of culture and of standards and practices. Their ops faded, the zeitgeist was too spicy for them and they burned out sides over it.

Meanwhile, Family Guy's mid, but clippable and memeable. A whole new Simpsonscore endless show, and odd jokes that keep going. South Park was never going to top them, even trying to dig at them and their bits about manatees. That wasn't mean that was cute, it's a dumb show made by real cuties, what was Family Guy going to say? It's a formula, and it clearly fucking works?

And they both pale in comparison to the Simpsons
And then Simpsons pales in comparison to Spongebob

zoomers weren't around for how big south park was at the height of its popularity. it was on the same level as the simpsons in terms of cultural impact until at least 2006.

terrible modern family guy somehow has way more cultural influence than classic family guy had

True. Both wouldn't even exist without the Simpsons
>And then Simpsons pales in comparison to Spongebob
Not sure about this one.

Only because modern family guy is basically post-revival and that has been around for 20 years
and I think FG was huger in the late 00's than it was when it was first running and funnier too

I'm sure it helps that ever since it got revived, Family Guy's had far more consistent output and is syndicated on far more different TV networks. Pretty sure it's been localised into more languages too

the late aughts had some bangers too, i'd say seahorse seashell party is the cutoff for unwatchable FG

South Park gave us two multi-episode arcs that brought us people who derail every criticism of any piece of media with rants about nostalgia bias.

Family Guy is why normies went neurotic over Cancel Culture

It's the longest running show that was ever fully cancelled at one point. South Park, Simpsons, Spongebob were runaway success stories from their very beginnings. Ironicallly when they came back with an axe to grind over getting cancelled by fox it made the show better than ever for a brief period.

South Park revived Ginger hate, that's something.

I've liked shitting on South Park for the last 20 years but I can't think of another show that was able to permanently ruin the reputation of an infamous cult like South Park did to Scientology
Even the Simpsons writers were afraid of pissing off Bart's voice actress when making the Movementarian cult episode despite it being partly a jab at Scientology

Honestly can't think of much culture Family Guy ever got beyond a bunch of kids quoting it in the mid 2000s when it was rerun on adult swim, fat men cosplaying Peter on youtube, and maybe people being surprised that Seth Macfarlane can sing.
Genuinely can't think of any big cultural impact or even international recognition, which is something South Park can easily say had.

Forget South Park, it has more cultural impact than THE SIMPSONS. A show that was once considered a cultural milestone is now completely ignored by zoomers while they still watch Family Guy funny moments.
