original series is episodic so if you really don't care for an episode you can skip. just make sure to see secret of the omnitrix. alienforce/ultimate alien are produced by the same guy as jlu, all star superman, and static shock so if you like those i would recommend. after that watch omniverse if you like it, or stop watching if you don't. kuro the artist has been doing reviews that include an 'importance' score so you can use those to trim down if you really need.

I didn't care for them, especially Little Moments' remake. It insists upon itself and I felt most changes made from the original were for the worse. It's still better than 99% of Bwen fics, so I'd say read it for yourself and see, but I thought it was a downgrade. And unrelated to the fic's quality, at some point, the author and his fellating co-writer started deleting critical reviews on FFN because they equated negativity to harassment. They admitted to it and eventually stopped, but still, I lost some respect for them over that.

NTA, but they're different flavours. Classic is clearly written by someone younger, with less overall experience, but has faster beats and gets to the good stuff while handwaving away some things. It's also a much shorter read, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're looking for in a fic. The Remake, meanwhile, are much, much better paced, and take the time and effort to expand even more on the setting, tying this AU to other fics by the co-author. At 500k+ words, it's a beast of a fanfic, with quality never dipping below "pretty good", so it's perfect if you just want more

Personally, i loved all the new segments about Gwen's life in the remake, but Classic's finale conveys emotions much better

The one-off interactions that Ben had with girls during the road trip didn't serve as good justification for a relationship and could only go as far as a mutual crush. It needed to be a slow burn that built over time. Ben's annoyance for Gwen turned in a realization that she actually cared about him and didn't want to just kill his fun. Likewise, Gwen grew to genuinely respect him over the course of their adventures. During all of this they remained good foils for each other, able to both butt heads then make up or work as strong team using both of their unique strengths.

Kevin and Gwen came to a head during one of the worst writing periods of the series and Kevin suffered more from the relationship than he gained. >>150166091 explained how the relationship with Julie and Ben could never work in the end despite having some highlights. Ben and Gwen had the best written chemistry and the writers have never been able to change the larger audiences minds about this no matter how much they have tried.
