By the way, given how long homestuck actually is, and how long it takes for the Trolls to even really show up in the story. How many episodes would the show need to actually get to reach Act 5 (given that that is where the Troll stuff really starts happening in a meaningful way).

Also, how much of the narration and pesterchum chat elements will be condensed and only shown visually in the animated series (considering that the trailer showed no signs of having a 'narrator')?

I'm just trying to get an idea of how long we can realistically expect the series to be (assuming they animate the entire original storyline).

Like the OG story is dozens of hours long, but a LOT of that is narration elements that could be represented visually in an animated series and most of the pesterchum chats can realistically be condensed down. Which would shorten the story considerably.

I'm really curious how they'll adapt Homestuck, given how much the comic makes use of mixed media in it's story-telling (narrative with images AND game elements).

I mean, we see Karkat in the fucking trailer for the pilot episode. Karkat doesn't show up at all in the actual webcomic until Act 3 (and even that was only briefly).

I get the feeling that the pilot will blaze though Acts 1, 2 and some of Act 3 instantly (though, to be fair, the early acts ARE a lot shorter in general, so this isn't too crazy to consider).

Usually you dont draw hair on arms ors legs because even the tiniest detail in a drawing can drastically change the way it is perceived, the same way adding really small wrinkles to the side of the mouth makes the character look older. And even when you do add it because its an important part of the character's design, you dont overdo it, think Saxton Hale from the comics. Drawing the hair on Jade just seems a little overkill.
