I actually don't complete hate the idea. Peter probably should wear baggier clothes to hide the fact that he has the body of a top class Olympic athlete despite being allegedly a nerd who doesn't get much exercise. The design in that image doesn't work super well to me, but you could make him wear a bunch of Uncle Ben's old clothes.

He also used to wear tons of sweaters and baggy clothes. Wasn't until he got with MJ that he ditched that stuff for turtlenecks and tighter form fitting wear. Though it was more a sign of the times and fashion changing than anything else.

I... Kind of like this idea, depending on how it is executed. if they are the same age? No. Have Miles be this little kid who tries to hang out with older kids, so peter decides to hang out with him so he won't get mixed up with the wrong crowd. This would estabilish that Miles looks up to Peter even before the whole spider thing. Then have peter be Spider-Man wihout him for like a year or so. Show how this completely wrecks his social life. Then Miles gets spider powers too. Peter and miles take turns defending the city unless shit gets too real, this way both of them can have a fulfilling social life.

It's sort of inevitable that they'd have a few similarities since they do have a few things in common. Clark wasn't really an athlete when he was in school either, since his powers gave him an unfair advantage. Sure he's a farm boy so he's probably gonna be more fit than most, but you wouldn't really have that kind of body builder physique if you didn't deliberately work at it for a long time.

In contrast, Bruce plays up his vain playboy persona. He's fit due to vanity and love of extreme sports.

I like the idea of Miles being a neighbor kid that Peter's kind to and maybe tutors from time to time. Since Peter usually starts out kinda friendless and antisocial, showing kindness to Miles would allow him to express his fundamental altruism that he doesn't get to express much prior to becoming Spider-Man.

There's a lot of times he even just dips off and forgets about Spider-Man because he has important stuff going on in his personal life and he lives in the Marvel universe so there's plenty of other heroes. A lot of his crime fighting escapades are truly just an attempt to pay the bills, kill boredom, and also because every once in awhile someone dangerous comes along that he knows only he can put away or understands that they need to have an eye kept on them so he feels responsible to resolve the issue. He wouldn't find a kid to mentor. If anything he would tell the kid to go down to the Y or pick up a book then head off to do his own thing.
