That song is one of the moments where you can really see the original direction of the movie shine through, sad that it's only downhill from there. It's still a good scene though

I think the biggest issue is them dropping the idea of Magnifico working together with his wife. The leaked scene was actually funny and they had good chemistry. The final version just makes him look and act childish, especially his meltdown over the wish of Asha's grandfather.

On Wikipedia it says that they intended to make Wish traditional 2D, but gave up because they felt "it restricted motions and camera angles". Bro we're in like the 202X's, it's time to research and try techniques to fix that and not giving up like little bitches, you only have a multi-million budget behind you.

This is where a character from a different town than Rosas was needed to bounce off of Asha, to show us why having your wish is far more important than having food and security from a king. That will be a tough sell, but Renaissance era Disney writers would have pulled it off.

Asha gets two fucking characters following her, where one doesn't talk and the other is a stupid goat that doesn't say anything but catchphrases, so you never get a sense of why anything matters.
