Supergirl has ALWAYS been a shit character. And the fact that in the many decades since her existence where she doesn't have a defined personality only ends up proving she is a shit character. And before anyone says "Batman has two universal personalities the serious and the campy one" Batman is a large enough iconic franchise to get away with that.

Supergirl is not a popular character. The only time a female super hero had a good box office was the first Wonder Woman movie and that's because it was riding that DCU hype machine. Same way Aquaman's movie made a billion. Make no mistake Aquaman is not popular he was riding that hype.

So independently characters like Supertramp or in this case Super Alcoholic will not resonate with people. People are done with Super Hero Interconnected Universes. So if a character isn't already iconic like Batman and Spiderman they will flounder and fail most likely.
