Yes. Believe it was the german DVD I bought, the one with the english dub. I think I was convinced enough the movie was good, so paid about 40euro or something just believing it won't disappoint me. Sucks the english dub rights were too hard to get in time for Bluray's release.

No, it came out a couple of months after. Lion King was released in June 1994 and Felidae was released in November of the same year. The original book was older though (released in 1989).

Still, I am confused about what that anon meant. I can't remember a Lion King reference in Felidae. And it would be odd if they decided to add one during the months between these movies. Usually it takes years to make movies, and it's a pain in the ass to make any late changes.

I guess Watership down is easier to understand, kids will probably have more problems understanding Pascals schemes to breed supercats than they would have to understand Woundwort.
