This is what gen z and beyond thinks of when they hear "Looney Tunes". Bugs and Daffy living together in a suburb and doing regular sitcom things like dressing up like a woman and getting a cosmetology license or dressing up like a woman and taking dance lessons or dressing up like a woman and daffy having a meltdown because he lost his purse at a shopping mall.

The Day the Earth Blew Up could've been Gen Alphas exposure to Looney Tunes, but Zaslav marketed the film like shit. Now their first experience will be that overrated gassed up shitflik Coyote Vs. ACME. This is the timeline we're living in.

I haven't watched it but Coyote Vs. ACME will be shit cause it'll just be another "what if cartoon characters in live action in real world?" plot, not directed by an animator, TDTEBU on the other hand was fully cartoonist driven, yet nobody wanted to support that movie, many people didn't even fucking know about it until it came out, ecelebs could've convinced people to support the film beforehand but given the limited theatrical release they didn't convince people to support it until it was too late.

I just more Looney Tunes movies that actually want to fucking be Looney Tunes, not some generic live action toon plot or sitcom, something faithful and cartoonist driven.

WB created their own hell for Looney Tunes through a combination of not having enough confidence in the characters and turning the Looney Tunes characters into a one-trick pony. Bugs and Daffy do more than the "rabbit season, duck season" bit, but if you watched anything Looney Tunes-related in the 90s or 2000s, you'd think that was their entire schtick. Space Jam was the fina nail in the coffin because it's their primary merchandising vehicle, which means kids are more familiar with the Looney Tunes characters as clothing icons than as characters. They've gone the same way as the Flintstones and breakfast cereal.

I find it weird how Looney Tunes was trying to be "hip and cool" in the 90's, when every other cartoon was being wacky correctly, the late 80's-early 90's was a period where normies were into golden age-inspired cartoons, we got stuff like Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, Animaniacs, and Ren & Stimpy being quite popular, yet for some reason the stuff we got out of the very franchise that defines wacky animation was "Bugs Bunny playing with LeBron James" rather than something that actually feels like true and honest Looney Tunes.

This is what is hilarious
Zoomers (97 or later) grew up with Looney Tunes far more then millenials/gen x did. Zoomers had numerous tv shows and rerun airings on cable, then when they got older it was on streaming. It has never been as accessible then it was to zoomers.
Gen A is when the reruns did not happen and it starts to fall out, but millennials thinking zoomers only know of TLTS when the only thing they had was Space Jam is very funny

Looney Tunes was still around and I remember being sort of annoyed that there wasn't a newer Looney Tunes show that wasn't pants-on-head retarded. What alternate universe/third-world country are you anons from? Looney Tunes was gone from US Cartoon Network by the end of 2004 and Boomerang the following year. I was born in 1999 and remember interacting with a kid around my age (10 at the time) who didn't know who Sylvester nor Tweety were despite wearing a cast with them on it. If anything, Looney Tunes is more mid-late zoomer due to Cartoon Network bringing them back for a couple years during the early 2010s.
