I worked in customer service for a good while. You just have to say, I am very sorry mam, let me get another one for you, please keep the first one on the house. Then go back, tell the chef she's a bitch and they do horrid things to their food. This would be the same without the spin and other shit in their food if they were just polite about it.
Then at the end of the day you cry into your pillow wondering how humanity has lost all common courtesy as its at least twice a week someone is a shit stain. At my old job, even as the nicest employee at a UPS store, Amazombies have threatened me for not taking back their stuff, threatened to call the news, and one even spit on me during covid because my boss made us enforce mask. And ironically I am a dude who hated mandates believe in mandates and told the dude I was just doing what my boss wants.
Now I always explain to customer service people I appreciate what they are doing and tip well. The US needs both mandatory military service and mandatory customer service, and the whole nation would become a lot better.
