Sigh, I really wanted to like this. I really did. I see what they're trying to do. They hired Peach Momoko to cater to the anime/manga crowd. But more specifically, it feels more like it caters to weeb teenage girls. I applaud them for trying a new take on X-Men but eh, It's just not my cup of tea. Not awful, it's an interesting read but it just feels like your typical manga for young teenage women but slapped X-Men on top of it. Ultimately (heh) PERSONALLY, I think it's one of their weaker titles of the Ultimate line-up but that's by complete taste in itself. I'm sure if you're a woman or just a hardcore weeb you might like it. I will appreciate the refreshing paint style manga aesthetic it looks absolutely stunning.

Alright I'm sorry I just wanted to talk about a comic I read. Maybe I will give volume 2 a shot if you're that defensive. It just took way too long for me to get invested in all the characters.. Took me until issue 6.
