I guess it would depend on the lore level aversion to silver as to how effective it would be But fuck man just manufacturing silver nails for a nail gun seems like a huge pain in the ass compared to a stake. Even in carpentry if the world fell apart and I had to make my nails, no way am i making nails for a nail gun then making the adhesive or wiring to hold them together when I could just make nails and hammer them in.
