If we're talking about that lolifag thread that got deleted, then honest to god, it finally clicked in with me that this place just can't be fixed because it's broad demographic is just too flatly retarded, even compared to other boards.
Like, /co/ has always been really "weird" compared to all the others; it's the only board that I've never liked telling other people that I use it because it's the most consistent board that I see get made fun of. But that thread really impressed upon me that this board is genuinely fucking delusional in a way that's bizarrely unique to this board, and this board only. The fact that I saw people genuinely trying to argue against the idea that this board is packed with artificial traffic - bots, samefagging, dudes using multiple devices, etc. - finally clicked in as to why this board is by far and away the most easily trolled board on the site.
I've always found myself wondering why trying to snipe repeat bot/bait threads, especially shit dug up from several years ago, never seems to actually work, where even if you plainly point out "hey, this is literally some shitty repeat thread, down to following a clear template (or even outright copypasting posts and filenames)", it's like it just gets completely ignored with full consistency; but now it makes "sense" - there's a non-insignificant amount of dumbfucks here who will just freely ignore any kind of automated faggotry because... they just think it's not real. You can't fix that. You'll have the same low-functioning autists trying to argue with the same bait threads over and over again because they think it's coming from actual people, and they'll try to engage with it because they think it's a chance to shadowbox with whatever enemy is reeling around in their head. It's a problem that quite literally can't be fixed, the best you could do is to try to make some honeypot board a la /vg/, but that would never happen.
