What's the /co/sensus on Nelson and Lisa
I've noticed when watching simpsons in background a lot of eps focus on her and Nelson. An now her future usually ends with her getting with Nelson. I don't care much but kind of interesting how much nelson has become Lisa's main relationship and character connection outside of the family.

I didn't like it at the time. The episode is fine but the ship I mean. Her attraction to Nelson didn't really seem to make sense. There hasn't been a big dumb bully on her radar since then. It could have been a cute quirk of Lisa's that she's into big fat dumb angry men like her father, but Nelson was a unique case apparently.

I think it's cute, Lisa pulls Nelson up while Nelson grounds Lisa, it's a good dynamic for a couple(same reason her and Ralph could work, though also why I think her and Milhouse would likely be doomed as a couple cause it'd be the exact opposite situation)

It's more interesting than Lisa settling with Milhouse and being miserable.

The bully getting the girl is more realistic than the nerd getting girl, so it has that going for it.

True but kind of sad as it confirms milhouse just will never get a good ending. Literally milhouse even is a manlet in most timelines, dude really just sucks but assumed as a kid he'd just grow out of it. Seems milhouse stays a loser for life

True for me just a bit weird it's the true end game. I feel it'd have worked better before Lisa became a bit to much but not bad either just funny to me more than interesting like OG milhouse x lisa

Matt Selman killed all these ships off because he never liked the idea of grade schoolers in romance plots.

And then the ratings tanked

>I feel it'd have worked better before Lisa became a bit to much
see that's exactly why it works, someone like Nelson would ground her back to reality

I didn't really see that though. The only foil Nelson provided was losing patience with her out of character little girl antics. The cat in the stroller thing. Not any of her activism or bossiness.

in that episode sure, I meant with them becoming a couple later in life

When Nelson mentioned that Lisa had a big butt, do you think he had pubescent thoughts about it? Wanting to see it, wanting to touch it...?

He did touch it.
With his foot.

I mean grabbing it with his hands on her bare skin

no IRL pubescent boy was ever attracted to an 8 year old, he's if anything attracted to older teen or adult women
