Why the fuck would you make this out of CGI? Use a puppet or stop motion. Why don't autists stop to consider shit like this?

Because CG is what they know how to use seems like an easy explanation. I remember seeing a video called Captain Yajima that was CG based and even made characters move their mouths like old stop motion cartoons and the occasional visible wires.

But puppeteering and stop motion would actually be easier. Ontop of that if they have the skill set to use a sculpting/modelling suite they can translate that to a physical medium. It's the same principles.

Because they want to and because they can. It's what they enjoy. It's their preferred method of creating art. It's a viable way to put their ideas out there. They're the tools they learned with. They want to hone their craft. They're bored and just want to see if they can. It allows more to be done with with animation. It doesn't take up extra space keeping a bunch of puppets around. It's due to a million factors all coming together.

When are you going to realize how stupid this makes you sound.
On top of inherent stupidity of your post overall. What does it matter if it's easier (it wouldn't be, by the way)? The artist's goal was to see if they could believably capture one medium while using another. The end result, whether they succeeded or not, is what should be judged.

I only saw a second of animation on the creator's twitter. If there's more I didn't spot it. It doesn't look like they post a ton of animations, and the one that are there are small loops. The character's name seems to be Minty, I think.

Well theyrew only autistic enough to imitate the art, but not autistic enough to commit to it. There's someVHS guy who actually records on VHS since he cares about, but most people just use imitations.
The other anons also have a point, but they say it in such a faggy way like theyre white knighting for some random person.

I don't think you quite understand how much of a bitch it is to meticulously maneuver puppets for even a few seconds of animation. And God help you if you fuck up a frame because then you have to completely recreate the scene, lighting and all, in order to maintain some consistency.
