Of all the "wacky animal duo cartoons" of the 90s, this is one of the best ones, easily in the top 3. I like that they introduced new reccurring characters while also using the preestablished ones from Lion King. Simba, Rafiki, The Hyenas and Zazu all had their own episodes. They really didn't have to, but still did it.

I think I only really remember three episodes of this since it's been about 25 years since I last saw any of them.

The one where they return a magic tooth to a dragon trapped in a falsely-advertised-as bottomless pit who then proceeds to lay waste to those who imprisoned him as Timon and Pumbaa speak fondly of him as if they were adopting him like they did Simba.

The one where they find a broken down jeep infested with bugs which they eat and then get trapped somewhere while surrounded by carnivorous land murder birds that turn into whirls of violence as they strip the meat from their victims. They escape, repair the car, then run them all down turning them into many roast birds.

I'm not sure if this was an episode, but something about one of them not finishing a right of passage and when it is all over, they look like an action hero from the 1980s and the one who didn't go through all that gets a notice that they also didn't complete their right of passage and gets kicked into whatever meat grinder the other had to go through.
