Was there ever a single entertainment company more incompetent than 21th century Warner Bros?

It could've been worse. They could've given Looney Tunes the modern Disney treatment but instead they just made Lola retarded and added Tina.

Warner has never been that great. Look at how Disney threads still get discussed. Warner doesn't get this because they were never that great. That's why this thread is dead.

Warner has never truly nurtured their animated catalog so naturally no matter how iconic they are they have gone notably forgotten. Tom and Jerry are better remembered than Looney Tunes. The future for Warner is obscurity and being acquired by a Big Corpo.

21st century Hasbro is up there for sure, nearly every single one of their IPs is failing, the three most recent transformers films were all bombs, TF One's terrible marketing doomed it. DND went full social justice, for better or for worse, alienating a lot of its players, and that's not even mentioning the gameplay issues with 5e. Magic The Gathering is dividing its players with its over usage of crossovers, to many killing the games identity. Horse show was massive but they failed to keep the momentum going, even after years of popularity, G5 was a complete failure, a lame movie and two shows both equally lame, and finally even toys such as nerf or their several board games are struggling to find their place in a digital age. What's incredible is almost everyone knows DND, Transformers, etc, they have some of the most recognizable brands of all time yet they fail over and over again on almost all fronts.

I’m a big Looney Tunes fan and I think that’s true, Tom and Jerry has more global popularity. Being mostly silent characters they’re popular everywhere, while there are some countries where Looney Tunes characters didn’t catch on to the same degree.

The Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies franchise was much more dependent on dialogue than the Disney or MGM cartoons which makes characters like Bugs or Daffy, let alone Foghorn Leghorn, lose more in translation.

(Now I’m wondering if that’s also true of the early, funny, super talky Hanna-Barbera.)

Well you gotta do something with her besides being "girl". The problem is that Bugs has so many great foils already that it would be hard to have his gf stand out

On top of that they are still making money off Scooby Doo. A minuscule budget nothing of a show from almost 60 years ago.

No you FUCKING DON'T! This fucking lie has ruined enough media cause even with Hello Nurse who became a CEO at the end of Wakko's Wish, it never fucking ends.

We need more token girls who are just girls. Lots more to fix the damage. Also more girls who are just eyecandy.

>The problem is that Bugs
No. The boyfriend/girlfriend dynamic is a tiny toons thing with Buster and Babs. Bugs is fine with his drag routine. Lola just needs to be eye candy.

The more annoying thing is that they pulled a Disney and bought up most of their competition. Only to make all of their purchases totally nonviable and killed those franchises.

Kids were way better off when Kenner, Galoob, and Tonka existed on their own before Hasbro absorbed everyone.

Retarded Lola actually fits the whole Looney tunes brand as having something that makes her wacky and funny like everyone else. Her not being tits and ass fapbait pissed off all the furries.

Cause Dot can't have a similar role to Dot anymore. She had to be so neutered in the reboot that they removed the line about her being "cute" from the theme song. Considered too "sexist" by the woke writers.

It never fucking ends.

It's a one two punch of having talentless activists in charge of the cartoons and the braindead, money grubbing execs use that as an excuse to just kill the entire thing rather than just firing the activists.

Don't forget Power Rangers, they own that now and are bungling it, just content to rely mostly on MMPR when 1) most fans are sick of MMPR shilling now and 2) younger audiences don't have ANY connection to MMPR.

Most of those cartoons feature characters that are 80+ years old and that modern kids aren't interested in. What's the point in spending money on this shit if it will never make profit?

Looney Tunes shorts (especially Chuck Jones ones) are studied in animation schools more than Tom and Jerry. They have a wider impact on the medium as a whole

Japan is a small country, Looney Tunes' film adaptations are more famous than Tom and jerry's, they had multiple new shows past the 20th century, and Bugs is more recognizable cause his design is more unique. Get fucked Tomfag
