Yeeeeep. A Flynn comic (aka real direct market comics) would get cancelled under 30k sales. He really should ask this guy for advice.

Ian said Drogune is finished and "doing an editing pass" (not fundraising while Danny's book is doing one).

I gotta be real, as much as I don't really like Ian's writing, at least Drogune is apparently TPB length. Danny's asking for $30 for 30 pages. That's insane, especially when he showed off a 7 page sampler earlier this year and it was just a big fight scene.

Nothing wrong with him, he just can’t depend on Sonic fans. They only care about Sonic. Same thing happens when popular fanartists post OC, they get 1% as much interaction as the fanart even when the OC is higher quality art.

It'd be really weird if they were printing physical copies of a sampler and backers were expected to buy individual floppies or TPBs after the fact and they just didn't say that's what it was anywhere on the Kickstarter.

The word choice says this is a standalone book. I think it really is just going to be 30 pages.

This looks like fucking trash. Generic, soft art style with dogshit designs. What is this troontastic nigger dressed like a cross between Alice in Wonderland and a coke dealer? This is alongside more basic stores rand fantasy designs - it doesn't mesh. Random furry trash mixed with standard humans, and some most character comes from cunts having expressions that express they're 'cool', but comes across as edgy as a Pringle.

Flynn as a writer (I've read storytime threads on the train - gave it a shot because surely it's only the fans that are retarded, but no, it's all of it - Kill yourselves) is F I N E. He's store brand Geoff Johns. Character work is flat, simple, and archetypal. Strong enough to justify actions within the plot, not strong enough to make anyone with taste care. Plots with enough layers to not feel like fanfiction, but lacking in enough depth to say anything interesting. That's still better than most writers, and it's better than Sonic is capable of or deserves. 5/10 mush.

This looks like more of that. Sonic with an edgy buddy. "We have Autism/Sonic at home." Sonic with basic world building because Sega wants to keep shit so generic that kids won't question anything at a glance. This looks like shit.
