Scott peaked in high school and has been coasting off of being handsome and moderately charismatic ever since. Unfortunately this is also why Michael Cera was a miscast. He could have been convincing as Young Neil but he's not handsome enough to be a guy who everyone naturally feels inclined to do favors for. When I read the comic I imagined Scott looking and sounding like Kurt Cobain, not George Michael Bluth.
