It's not the series people are making complex, it's the "fandom" itself.
The only reason everyone is weighing in about Jax is because of the assumptions of his character from the pilot being wrong and the """"backlash"""" against Ragatha. Most of the videos pad out their runtime by just talking about that, rather than anything insightful about either character.
Jax and Ragatha are really hard not to understand at this point. But the infinite complexities of subjective human experience to objectively existing art intended to be interpreted is shit nobody's been able to solve since the days of the Athenians.
TADC is fun with fun designs and cool jokes but it's 'meaning' isn't really novel. I mean, it wears its inspiration on its sleeve, and like its inspiration (I Have No Mouth), it's a hyperbolic allegory about how holding on to your humanity and the humanity of others is what gives life meaning, even in the worst possible circumstances. It does it earnestly of course, but that's not complex.

I never vibed with those theories because they remind me of the same way people were theorizing that Ragatha would die immediately after opening up emotionally, it would suck immensely if he died after finally starting to understand how real and independent to his programming he is despite never being intended to be more than a AI. The show acknowledges that he has grown to adapt to his shit conditions (improved graphics and desire to expand and make more complex scenarios for his adventures) and even has accommodated to the humans (which is already a daunting task as he doesn't understand what they want/need but the effort is there).

Him getting a true human humbling could either break him or set him into turning a new leaf and really open up to communication with his cast. He is a made (ring)leader literally and has to start to worry about his performers in a real way if he and everyone wants their lives(show) to go on

Caine getting a little "pretending to be evil" arc would have been fun too.
