I had absolutely no interest in seeing either of those, adapted or otherwise, so I can't comment. I just know that some time within the past 10-15 years I noticed that the pacing of hour-long shows and some movies have been really, really slow.
I recent saw the new Naked Gun movie and it was great, and I saw Weapons, which I also liked, but it felt painfully slow at times. I even went to take a piss at one point during Weapons and don't think I actually missed anything important while I was gone. And I think that's the root of the problem. Leslie Nielsen even said the reason the original Police Squad was canceled was because you actually had to pay close attention to it to find it funny, unlike other sitcoms you could leave on in the background while doing something else. So now everything is either made short and hyperactive to keep your attention, or if it's long it feels slow-paced because things get repeated assuming you either forgot or weren't paying attention the first time around. The Day The Earth Blew Up also comes to mind, but Weapons having a needless Rashomon change of perspectives was the most egregious example I could think of.

At least it's not a bot reposting old threads, or a zoomer doing it ritualistically.
>11 minutes per "episode" is fine if there's another episode right after it.
Probably the only good comment on it in the old thread. A really slow drip feed of content is almost as bad as dumping it all out at once.
