Magical mentor: Sorceress, Light Hope/Madam Razz, Shaman

Short Guy comedy relief: Orko, Kowl, Fuzz

Evil creepy ghostly villain: Skeletor, Hordak, Tex Hex

The only difference is that Marshall Bravestarr doesn’t transform from an ordinary person to one with powers.

You forgot that the main villain has a sexy second in command: Evil Lyn, Shadow Weaver/Catra, Viora

You mean lore wise? Considering He-Man/She-Ra were existing toylines that Filmation was commissioned to do it would have probably been a legal hell
If anything I think He-Man would be closer to Blackstar from a couple years earlier, they even recycled some of the stock animations from Blackstar for He-Man
