Where do you see the future of animation /co/?

Glitch and other indie slop is the future of animation.
Everyone who believes this shit is responsible for the state of animation today because they reassured the industry that
>Quality doesn't matter
>Reboots are better than original ideas

More animation with only anthropomorphic animal characters because everyone loves anthros and they don't have to worry about "representation"

When executives actually start give more artistic freedom to creators, let zoomers start making cartoons, and stop making every cartoon "beanmouth kid goes on fantastic adventures", maybe Iβd actually be hopeful for the animation industry.

Undeniably this.
Legacy media is done.
People watch a shit ton of YouTube.
You can't even compete with it as a platform.
If indie creators can figure out how to properly merchandise their creations the old companies are screwed.
The only thing legacy media has left is it's legitimacy and it's fading fast.

All of /co/'s favorite indie series like Slime Cat, Avocado Couple, Minecraft Monster School, and Spookiz are destroying the mainstream entertainment industry. All of the other ones are just bullshit watched by millennial hipsters.

This.
No more legacy media that cancels shows after 2 seasons because it didn't meet the board's absurd quota.
Now it's smaller teams putting their work out for free and funding themselves with merch sales and personal subscriptions.

Like, if i saw this on my tv i would change the channel by instinct, let alone search for them on streaming/youtube.

Spidey and his amazing friends in Disney plus is complete shit and will not be seen as nostalgic by the kids who watch it now. Meanwhile the original one from 81 is entertaining kids show pulp camp that still holds up.

Cartoon Network has no one to blame but itself. I hate that they're now being rewarded for catering to nostalgia and focusing exclusively on reviving their early 2010s hits. They deserve to ROT for how carelessly they mismanaged all their most recent Originals

Family Guy/Simpsons clones - ugly, vulgar animated sitcoms
Rick and Morty Clones - ugly, vulgar animated sitcoms but sci fi or fantasy
>Children animation
Diet anime (nu She-Ra, that Superman cartoon, Invincible ETC) - cartoons with a basic "how to draw anime tutorial) art style and middling to below average fight scenes
Calarts - beanmouth and an edgeless art style. Basically adventure time/Steven universe clones that start off as quirky young characters dicking around in a fantasy setting and then by the second season it turns story driven with random inappropriately set bouts of filler
More reboots or continuations of previous shows since most of what they make doesn't click
