Anon you need to realize that the most notable cartoons of this decade have all been reboots and revivals, no original IPs, not to mention that the few original shows are all cheap beanmouth slop like StuGo that gets canned after one season, executives only accept generic beanmouth shit that’s made to look like cartoons of the 2010’s cause they think it’s "profitable", causing everything to be generic as shit. There’s also all the problems going on with animators in the industry like how many of them can’t find a job, this is the worst period for cartoons since the 80’s.

Writing-wise: they're about the same. All the shit modern cartoons get shat on/praised for wouldn't be out of place in 1995. You don't get that prize just because you wrote a clever joke, or because you made a serialized story, or because you touched a hot-button issue.
