The newspaper comic version of rosebuds feels like a psuedo-reboot of sorts. There's a much stronger identity to it now.

It was a lot of people's introduction to Rosebuds. Rosa was a less nuanced character, the boob jokes were more prevalent and her only other gimmick beyond being a milk cow was that she was angry and would beat up Maria
If anything I think this problem stems further back to the early Life with Kurami strips that were first posted here, back when Dee was a weaker writer and artist. A lot of anons were in awe at how huge Ana's tits were and when finding out Dee does that with half his female cast I can see that "awe" transferring over to something like Rosebuds where one of the characters also has huge tits

He expressly says SFW only on the commission sheet but I'm sure he still gets a few. I've worked with a lot of artists and they've informed me that they regularly get requests for stuff that they expressly state they won't do or otherwise is outside of the bounds of the sheet they've posted. I've never understood it, you should just find an artist that fits what you're looking for instead or at least pay attention to the sheet they've posted. An artist that actually enjoys what they're drawing for you gives better results and I've even gotten freebies before just by leaning into what we mutually like.

Not necessarily. Huge tits are lovely, but they aren't inherently lewd. As someone that only recently started drawing stuff for Life with Kurami and Rosebuds, I was too distracted by how much I enjoyed the character writing to consider anything else. It felt a little wrong to lewd them and potentially have that blow back on Dee.
Having said that, Ana hits me right in the sweet spot and I'm glad she gets to appear in Rosebuds. She works wonders as a more grounded friend for Rosa.
