Now that the decade's halfway over, how do you feel about 2020s cartoons so far?

I think that the death of TV channels has made it really hard to think about this era in terms of "what's on." like i have no fucking idea who three quarters of these are. and I know for a fact there's more companies than this, and more .. services, making cartoons.

but uh.. there's a few really good ones coming out recently. Kind of the last gasp before everything collapses. With some shows, it feels like 2010 again, where everything's new and could be great. but most shows feel like 2012-2016 again, where everything's going to shit and everyone's gay

Darkest era in animation by far second to only the 2010's. Genuinely, nothing of value has come out in the last 10 years. We are being fed regurgitated and reheated 2010's left overs with a side of fags and magical brown people left and right. This is why you see so much fervor for "indie animation" but even that fanaticism is shortsighted and ill-guided. People defend what they watch was being the greatest thing ever based off how much they can jerk off to it, thus ignoring the elephant in the room. There's little hope for improvement in sight. Animation as a genre has become a deviantart-esque cesspool of "content" rather than art or entertainment.

Of the ones I’ve seen (I haven’t even watched a lot of the 3D movies) I liked season 1 of Molly a lot before it shat the bed and Stugo is genuinely fun but I can understand people being put off by the art style. Nothing else felt much better than passable. Also where’s Netflix? Kipo was good.

If you have shit tastes then sure it is. Sure the internet has allowed for a wider audience to be reached and ever more niche projects to be realized, but if you arent a mentally ill teenaged girl or a tranny there isnt much there for you.
