Pilot thing was about "DEI makes it impossible to trust even competent minorities in certain positions because I have no guarantee that they actually earned their position as opposed to being an affirmative action hire".

Both are about legislation, not about race, which he would probably tell you in a debate which he was willing to do and was doing up until he got shot.
