The problem with machine spirits in 40k is that they are very beastial. With machines that heavily rely on machine spirits like knights and titans they are very difficult to interact with as they literally merge or posess the pilot's personality during interfacing. It's not exactly peer to peer.
However, technically it is cannon that you can fuck machine spirits.
If the machine is tainted by scrap code shit hits the fan very quickly as one of numerous things will potentially happen if you interface with it:
>A) You fucking die due to the sheer impact and shock of the scrap code infecting your mechanical implants
>B) The machine spirit becomes an abominable intelligence
>C) The machine spirit is either transformed or destroyed into a daemonic entity, resulting in the machine to be posessed by the warp and likely yourself
>D) The machine becomes a vector for scrap code and you become infected in return
If B or C happens you will be certainly infected by scrap code, which in context is shown to be like the most terrifying orgasm you could ever have if you survive the intial neural shock within the lore. Now imagine being a pilot interfaced with a machine spirit that is being taken over by scrap code, you already get an emotional high by having your conciousness be partially merged with the spirit and all of sudden you and the spirit are over come with the code. In isolation surviving scrap code is an incredible experience to endure, but being merged with a machine spirit will turn that up to 11. Doubly so now you are merged to something that is no longer beastial, but instead, fully sapient. If you are lucky you conciousness might be spared from the new AI and now you have found yourself merged with another entity. If you think the sensory of euphoria of being part of a titan will be overwhelming having scrap code thrown in is literally beyond mortal or material comprehension. But this is a drop in the pan if the war engine becomes a daemonic host.
