The Tarzan books get NUTS after the first one... in fact, the first one also has some wild things in it. It's so silly that people think Tarzan was ever some kind of gritty survival story.

Stuff in Tarzan's Africa:
Opar, an Atlantean mining colony (#2, 5, 9, 14).
Pal-ul-don, a lost land full of dinosaurs and sapient primates who, unlike humans and the apes that raised Tarzan, retain their tails (#8).
18-inch people (#10)
Sapient apes whose females oppressed males until Tarzan changed their society (also #10).
A lost valley with two city-states of lost Crusaders (#11).
Two city-states of lost Romans the colonial powers also never discovered (#12).
Lost early Christians... you get the idea (#15).
Thenar and Onthar, two more lands undiscovered until Tarzan does it (#16, #21).
A mad scientist with a city of talking gorillas (#17).
Leopard Men (#18).
An indigenous but white tribe that kills people to make an immortality drug that really works. Tarzan is immortal starting at the end of this book (#19).
TWO MORE city-states in a valley no one knew about (#20).

Plus the Earth is hollow with a habitable inside of the shell and central sun, thanks to the crossover with another Burroughs series, Pellucidar.

It wouldn't be surprising. Though I don't exactly remember them implying it for them. Tarzan did meet an actual lot of lost crusaders in Tarzan, Lord Of The Jungle. The lost section of them even made a pretty good time of it there. Built two separate kingdoms that could never agree if they actually found the Holy Land in the hidden part of Africa they found or not.
Anonymous No.150384557 [Report]
>>150381113
No he doesn't. He just didn't think the black people were the same as he was. He thought they were a separate species from him. Like how the gorillas were a separate species from the apes that raised Tarzan. He used to fuck with them like he would the apes that raised him sometimes for pranks and killed a few once one of them killed Kala. Once he made more peaceful contact with and saved one of the black people he actually got along very well with them and helped them as he could. Even became the chief of a tribe of them, The Waziri, and lead them and trained them in his jungle traversal ways. He hired them to work with and for him once he found out he was a rich guy and would help them out when he could.

It's not. It's more so the nobility of animal ways over "supposed" civilized ones.

I think she was cooler simply because her design was an oblique hint that she’s actually an Atlantean who ended up stranded from the rest and made the best of it, even though that idea never actually made it all the way into canon.
