Tiny Toon Adventures is 35 years old now. Many of the oldfags who were gooning to them in the 90’s are approaching retirement age, so I say it’s time we finally appreciate this show for what it is.

I was 12 when it came out in 1990.
Fun fact. The first episode aired on CBS in prime time a week before more episodes premiered on Fox Kids.

Everyone in the animation industry will jump to defend it because it's fiction. But you CAN'T write a truly evil villain or make something with cartoon violence because that'll influence people IRL.

I still vaguely remember watching the prime time special that debuted the series. I thought it merely okay then, but it grew on me as the show went on. Plucky carried the show, shame they half assed his spin-off and only gave him ONE actual new episode before turning it into repackaged TT reruns everybody already saw.

Tiny Toons established a lot of toon lore. Like walking on air, you don't fall until you look down. Or how toons age. Wonder what their lore would be about reboots. Both Adventures ans Looniversity had the LT characters unchanged. Do the LT characters know two versions? Do the Looniversity cast know they're a reboot? Adventures would be self aware enough to know that.

Latinos in general don't seem to care for Animaniacs but they love Pinky and the Brain. It was a good timing because the little kids that loved Tiny Toons were edgy teenagers when Pinky and the Brain aired so they could dig the show

Tiny Toons explained how it worked. That was just one. They explained what wild takes were when the toon's eyes pops out or whatever. Plucky got stuck in one once.

I mean...I could. But. Two things:
I usually don't draw "porn" more like pinups, cheesecake and titillation.
And.
If I do make anything past "erotic", I only draw it for myself, and it usually never sees the light of day online. Private. Not for public.

There’s 3 types of 7 minute collections.
A: Every segment is good, but the wraparound story is lame
B: One or two segments are good, one or two segments are bad, but the wraparound story is lame
C: All the segments suck, but the wraparound story is pretty good

Mixed artstyle aside, Gumball is pretty much this generation's Tiny Toons:
>pop culture references
>celebrity parodies
>musical numbers
>takes primarily place in a school full of weird and whimsy characters
>cutesy artstyle
>slapstick
>surrealism
>fourth wall breaks up the ass
>gay and crossdressing humor
>dark and shocking (at the time) scenes
>sometimes animated by Japanese studios (TMS and Studio 4°C)
>female furry characters have TONS of porn and are the most popular characters by fans
Gumball has more good episodes, so I will say its the better show

Sad fact: the huge success of Tiny Toons was what indirectly killed Hanna-Barbera studios. In the 90s, WBA had hit after hit and sold bucket loads of toys with their new cartoons, while HB made flop after flop, with Captain Planet being the biggest show they had at the time.

This lead to WB acquiring HB in the late 90s, and eventually shut down the studio as a whole, making Warner own all their IPs such as Flintstones, Yogi Bear and Scooby Doo.

It’s more of a Beverly Hills 90210 parody, which somehow lasted all the way to 2000. I never saw Thirtysomething, but boomer cartoon writers somehow liked it. The Simpsons planned a crossover called “Thirtysimpsons” but it got scrapped.
