I’ve got this idea for an animated series about dogs, a mix of slice of life and fantasy adventure with some sci-fi elements. There’s also a big villain with some twists later on. Problem is, I can’t draw very well and know even less about how to animate. Where should I start learning, what should I look into, or where could I share my ideas? Any advice helps. Thanks.

To draw you go for Loomis' Fun with a Pencil, to animate look into "The Animators' Survival Kit" by Richard Williams.

Patch is best boy and his sequel was good compared to most DTV sequels. I always wanted a TV show sequel when I was a kid and I was sad when I found out the actual show didn't use him.

First of all: don’t make it look like beanmouth

Second of all, learn to draw realistically first before you stylize, you gotta know the rules before you bend or break them.

The show is weird, it was trying to be its own thing but was also based every version of 101 Dalmatians, there's Cadpig from the book, Cruella is based on the live action version, while Pongo and Perdita are the same from the original movie. The weird thing is also how it was american instead of british, my guess is that they felt kids would relate better if the show was based on the 90's america instead of a sequel set in the UK during the 60's

Why don't you start with a script? I know a lot of artist-types tend to frown upon scripts, but a written aid is usually more than enough to get the ball rolling for any artist curious about your project.
