I think it's a good topic to wrap up in one episode.

What's sad is that Kirk said he liked it (and clipped and edited a bit of it selectively to make it sound like they thought he was cool when the whole bit is about disingenuous and bad faith he is, down to clipping and editing his debates) so censoring the episode when they're supposed to be champions of free speech is ironic.

Kyle eventually descends into Hell to get Cartman out so everyone sees how evil he was, but it gets interpreted as Kyle doing good for his best friend which he rebukes and says CARTMAN HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING FOR ME BUT MAKE MY LIFE WORSE and Stan finally just tells him that Cartman rescued Kyle and his family from San Francisco back in the Smug making Kyle look worse.
